Grandsons!!!

This year we became Grandparents! January 26th, Jackson James Carroll was born to Karen & Konrad Carroll in Lubbock, Texas. Karen says that Jackson is changing every day, and now that he's crawling and pulling himself up to stand, Jackson's keeping them extra busy. He's nickname is "Smiley Jackson!" He is always smiling. Both of Jackson's parents are teachers and coaches at Monterey High School.

While we were visiting my brother, Mark, and his family in Colorado, we received a call that Ryan & Maisie were heading to the hospital. Ulysses Jongtai Nelson entered this world on August 10th in Bangkok, Thailand. They are now back home in Chiang Mai where both of them work at the U.S. Consulate for the Dept. of State. We hope to visit them in Thailand soon so we can meet the "newest sprout on the tree."
