Ryan's Special Visit Home

Ryan made a special trip back to Kansas so he could visit with his grandparents! We were surpriesd when Ryan called to say he was coming to Washington, DC for two weeks of training, and that he wanted to make a quick trip home over the weekend in the middle. Ryan's last trip home was a year ago to have ACL surgery on his knee and he was here for almost a month.

This time Ryan was here for 30 hours and we made the most of it. Scott joined us, too. Our first Topeka stop was at Grammie's, Dennis' mom. The boys got caught up with Grammie, and Ryan told her all about Ulysses.
Next stop was at Grandpa's! Since we were there late in the day, we were able to web cam with Maiise & Ulysses in Thailand. They are 13 hours ahead of us so we need to schedule our "visits" when Ulysses is awake. It's amazing how much Uly has grown in just the two & half months since we were in Thailand for a visit!

We loved that Ryan was able to fly back for such a brief visit. He looks great from all the cycling he's been doing around Chiang Mai. Ryan is a very active daddy and he was missing Maisie & Ulysses...no surprise there! The next time he'll be in the U.S. is when they move from Thailand and return to DC in May for additional training and vacation time before moving to Beijing in the summer. It was great to see him!
